Thomas Rhett Concert

Image
As you may have saw from my “Three Fun Facts” Blog, I love Thomas Rhett. I went to his VHS Tour 2019 in June as my graduation gift from my mom and dad. It was the best experience of my life. We were in the 12 th  row, center stage and he walked up my isle during the performance. I was about five stadium seats away from the love of my life and it was amazing!  This summer on my 19 th  birthday, June sixth, I’ll be taking two of my friends along with me for the Center Point Road Tour. This time we only have lawn tickets, but it’ll still be blast! Anything that has to do with Thomas Rhett will always be fun to me!  When I bought my tickets for the concert this summer, I posted about it on my Instagram story and Thomas Rhett reposted it on his own Instagram page and commented on it! I was in class when I got the DM that said he mentioned me in his story, and I had to leave early because I was crying too loud and disrupted the class.  If you guys wan

Reasons to Ride Out the Rest of the Winter

Image
The winter months and cold can bring on a type of seasonal depression that can be hard to kick, let’s talk about some reasons to make it to June.  Long summer nights are so much fun with friends. Playing hostage and man hunt, night swimming, sleep overs in the back yard, or even late-night drives with the windows down and music blasting. For me, summer nights are something I will always remember.      Vacations! Whether it’s with friends or family, vacations are something I constantly am looking forward to. The cute tourists’ pictures for your Instagram and the memories of visiting a new or your favorite place can go down in your history.        Let’s not forget the most important thing to look forward to, the summer snacks. You can eat ice cream, watermelon or those cheap popsicles whenever, but we all know they taste better in the summer heat, poolside with friends.  I hope this encouraged you to make it the next four month

Three Fun Facts About Me!

Image
1.                I have a birth defect in my left foot For years I have been constantly breaking and fracturing the heel bone in my left foot. Last year I found out this was due to a hollow spot in my heel. There’s no way to fix the defect so I just break/fracture my heel periodically and move on with life. It’s something I forget I  have; it doesn’t affect me unless it’s actually broken so I just have to be cautious doing certain activities.   2.                I love Thomas Rhett In 8 th  grade when I was going to school in the carpool lane with the other neighborhood kids, the song “T-Shirt” came on and instantly fell in love. Now, 5 years later, he is still my favorite artist. I’ve been to one of his concerts and I’m going to another on June 6 th  (my birthday). I am so excited, and I entered a contest for a meet and greet, so cross your fingers for me! 3.                I have two cats For Christmas three years ago, my dad surprised my mom and I with kittens!

Insecurities ARE Real

Image
Insecurities can take over your life. Every time you look in the mirror you don’t like what you  see, so you cover up the things about you that make you unique and stand out. Everyone. Has insecurities, it’s a completely normal thing. Some people just feel worse about them than others. I have learned to show off what makes me uncomfortable about myself and in the long-run, it’s made me much more confident. It all begins and ends in your mind.  If you can find something about yourself that makes you cringe, that’s where it starts. Don’t give your brain the power to destroy and tear down its own body. You owe yourself the love that you give so freely to other people. So, girl, take a bath, shave those legs, eat some cream and tell yourself how beautiful you are.                                                                                                                                                              To heal a wound, you have to stop touching it.

Hygiene

Image
As a teenage girl, you have to take better care of your body. This means washing in certain places, shaving, wearing deodorant and so-on.    Having good hygiene isn’t just good for your health but for your mental health too. Mental health in the sense of if you smell or look like you haven’t showered in a while, people will be mean. Highschool is a rough world and people are not afraid to be mean. Not washing your hair every day is normal but don’t let it get out of hand. I wash my hair every other day but shower every day.  Having good hygiene can really impact your overall health and confidence. Brushing your teeth is a given but not brushing your teeth can lead to gum and heart disease. A simple everyday task like bathing and brushing your teeth can go a long way.  Self-care is not a luxury. It is a necessity.

Good Studying Habits

Image
Studying can be a struggle but I’m hoping some of these ideas can help you focus better and retain more information faster.  The first thing you’re going to want to do is take a learning styles test. Click here to take it.   Based off of your results you can change your studying habits to work well with how you learn. For example, I am a visual learner. I make my notes very colorful and draw diagrams and tables, I also learn more efficient if I re-write what I’m studying.  You can also take a few different approaches. If you’re in class and learn a concept for the first time that you think you understand but wish you could hear it again or even re-worded, go on YouTube and watch a crash course over it. They have a lot of videos covering almost anything you learn in class.  You can also make a Kahoot or Quizlet to study off of. I don’t use this method personally, but I have a few friends that do it and swear by it. If you’re looking for a new way to study, then I suggest t

Women in Golf / Podcast link

Golf is a very important part of my life. It has molded me to act in a logical manner when things are going wrong and gave me good control skills. Many girls today don't play golf because its not "cool". Golf might not be the sport guys drool over, but its a sport you can play with your husband when you're 70 and want something fun to do. In high school, golf really wasn't cool. I did it for all four years and watched my team of 13 shrink to a team of 7 when I graduated. Many people thought it was lame but it can be turned around. The Homecoming Queen was on the team as well as myself, who made prom court. Don't let stereotypes get in the way. Please listen to this podcast of my coach and I talking about women in golf.

Mental Health is Important

Image
Taking care of you brain is just as important of taking care of your body. Practicing confidence and working out are as equally needed for a healthy life style. Junk food and negative thoughts are just as bad for you.  Insecurities are a real thing, and everyone has them but girl, that’s what makes you, YOU! So, strut your stuff and wear your insecurities like a diamond ring. This will take time but with the right mind set, you will learn to love them. Waking up every morning and doing something that makes you happy can boost your mood and self-esteem. Take a bath, drink some coffee, pray, read, whatever will make you glow for the day, do it.  Make sure that you have compassion, not only for others but for yourself too. Stop judging yourself and practice being positive. Every morning when you wake up, look in the mirror and tell yourself one thing that you see that you like, even if its just “I think it’s cool that I have a nose” be positive with yourself.  Paying att

Break Ups Suck

Image
Most any girl has been there and if you haven’t, you will at some point, and I promise you it will suck. You most likely will think you are in love, but nine times out of ten, you won’t be. In the moment, it does feel like it but after a few weeks or months, you will realize you were just being naive.  Watching someone you feel as though you love drift away from you will hurt, it will hurt so bad but remember that you don’t rely on them. You don’t need a relationship to be happy or to be popular.  Sometimes you need to end things even though it will be awful. I’ve been there plenty of times, you might have to look out for yourself and end things or they might have to do that to you. School will always trump a boy in my eyes, I just had to end things with a boy because i needed to focus on my grades this semester. Since we’ve been split up, I’ve been getting all A’s. You have to sacrifice the fun things for what’s actually important sometimes.  Just remember that it will
